Qigong Q&A 03.19.2026
In this session, Robert addressed several insightful questions, offering practical and grounded guidance on healing techniques, energy cultivation, and adapting practice with ease:
🔹 Treating Anxiety and High Cholesterol (Yin Technique) – Robert explained that anxiety often stems from energetic imbalance across multiple meridians, especially the heart. He emphasized clearing blockages through overall treatment, head-focused work, and Every Spring Palm. For high cholesterol, the focus shifts to strengthening the spleen and liver to help resolve internal dampness and restore balance.
🔹 Tapping vs. Chi Breathing (Rice Bag Practice) – Clarification was given on the difference between tapping (more supportive for emotional and mental balance) and Chi breathing with the rice bag (more direct stimulation of organs). While both can support practice, they serve different purposes and can be used complementarily rather than interchangeably.
🔹 Low Sexual Energy in Chi Steaming Practice – Robert reassured that having low or no sex drive is not a limitation—in fact, it makes the practice even more beneficial. The method itself helps awaken and restore this energy over time, supporting vitality and rejuvenation.
🔹 Coordinating Breath with Movement – For those struggling to match breath with movement, Robert encouraged a relaxed approach. If breathing becomes strained, it’s perfectly fine to continue with natural breathing or focus on movement alone, allowing the practice to remain smooth, mindful, and sustainable.
Together, these teachings encouraged students to trust the process, stay flexible in their approach, and focus on consistency rather than perfection in their Qigong journey.
