    Qigong Q&A 04.24.2025

In today’s session, thoughtful answers were provided to a range of insightful questions, enhancing participants' understanding of Qigong practices and their practical applications. The discussion addressed foundational concepts, nuanced techniques, and real-life experiences, making it an engaging and enriching exchange. Key questions and topics included:

🔹 Tongue Placement During Practice – Is it ideal for the tongue to rest on the upper palate during Qigong practice and daily life, except for specific activities like Xi breathing, talking, singing, eating, or drinking? Insights were shared on this foundational aspect of practice.

🔹 T’ai Chi and Nurturing Breath Techniques – Should the out-breath for T’ai Chi breathing be done through the nose? Additionally, when performing the nurturing soundless breath, should the shape of the mouth (e.g., "sheww") remain constant during the inhale? These questions explored subtleties in breathing practices.

🔹 Xi Breathing While Walking – Can the Xi breathing technique be practiced effectively while walking, or is it intended only for seated practice? Practical guidance was provided on the adaptability of this technique.

🔹 Emotional and Physical Responses in Liver Practice – Is it normal to experience emotional discomfort, anger, or mild liver pain during the liver practice? The session explored whether such sensations are part of the process and their significance in personal healing.

🔹 Breathing Technique in Hologram Palm Empowerment – During the Hologram Palm Empowerment of the Lower DanTian, is reverse abdominal breathing the correct approach, especially when tightening around the kidneys? Clarification was given on the interplay between breathwork and physical engagement.

🔹 Balancing Qigong Practice – Is there such a thing as “too much Qigong,” and how does one recognize the balance between practice and overexertion? Practical insights on maintaining equilibrium in practice were discussed.

🔹 Radiating Heat During Energy Work – What could cause extreme heat to radiate from the body during caregiving moments, to the point where others could feel it? Could this be related to excess Qi or a loss of Qi? A fascinating discussion explored the dynamics of energy and its manifestations.

This session provided participants with valuable insights and clear guidance, fostering a deeper understanding of Qigong practices while addressing a range of personal and technical questions. The thoughtful exchange left participants feeling supported and inspired in their practice.

    Qigong Q&A 04.17.2025

In today’s session, Robert provided thoughtful answers to a range of insightful questions, addressing both foundational concepts and practical applications in Qigong and energy practices. The discussion was engaging and enriched the understanding of participants, covering topics such as visualization techniques, healing practices, and the integration of teachings. Some of the key questions and answers included:

🔹 Aung Aah Hong Chanting and Visualization – Should the practice of Aung Aah Hong chanting include visualizing specific colors—violet for the Upper Dantien, green for the Middle, and red for the Lower—for enhanced effectiveness? Robert shared insights into whether visualization adds depth to the practice.

🔹 Healing Sound Chanting at a Distance – Can healing sound chanting be used effectively while working on a client remotely? For example, if a client has a liver issue, can the three steps of chanting be performed to support their healing? Robert explored the potential for distant energy work.

🔹 Hand Placement in Organ Sounds Training – Where should hands be placed during the organ sounds part of the training? Will this hand placement remain consistent across all future organ family practices? Robert clarified the correct techniques and their application.

🔹 Healing Sounds with Physical Injuries – Given specific circumstances such as a concussion, broken scaphoid bones in both wrists, and a possibly fractured tailbone, is it advisable to refrain from healing sounds due to their potential impact on broken bones? Robert also provided guidance on whether it’s best to pause participation in the class or continue with modifications for healing.

🔹 Hologram Palm Empowerment Movements – In the hologram palm empowerment exercise, are the figure-8 and other movements primarily visualized mentally, or are they meant to be physically performed? Robert discussed the balance between visualization and physical execution.

🔹 Sword Finger Technique – When using the sword finger at the chest to seal the energy, should the point be physically touched, and if so, should the touch be very gentle? Robert detailed the nuances of this practice.

🔹 Face Massage Practice – During the face massage exercise, should the face be physically touched, or is it more of an energetic practice? Robert clarified the appropriate approach to this exercise for optimal results.

The session was filled with valuable insights that deepened the understanding of these practices, ensuring participants felt supported in their learning journey.

🔹 Origin of "8 Cycles" – What is the deeper meaning behind the name of the "8 Cycles" exercise? Does it relate to the Three Treasures or the transformation of Jing?

🔹 Integrating Practices – After completing The Master Key and starting Yi Jin Jing, how can one effectively integrate Way of Virtue exercises into their daily Qigong routine?

🔹 Practicing Multiple Systems – Is it okay to practice two different styles of Qigong, or could that create energetic confusion within the body?

🔹 Qigong Healer Training – Will the online Qi Gong Healer class be as effective as the in-person version? Also, are there any updates on future teacher training programs?

🔹 Reversing Yin & Yang – When turning the palms up after collecting Earth Qi and before raising the arms to collect Heaven Qi, how does this reverse Yin and Yang, and what makes this move so powerful?

🔹 Visual Phenomena in Practice – While practicing Yi Jin Jing, some students report seeing blue dots when closing their eyes, especially after exertion and breathing. What could this indicate?

🔹 Spontaneous Yawning & Energy Work – During distant healing and certain exercises, some experience deep yawning that feels connected to energy shifts rather than exhaustion. What might be the reason for this?
